Harald's senses were so sharp he can smell the fear of the red scorpion. Mounted upon his trusty Thunderwolf, Icefang, Harald lead his Great Company in the hunt with the dominant authority of an alpha wolf and the deadly purpose of holding the relic and his presence alone was enough to bring even the most unruly to heel.

While granting the Tau the tranquillity of death, a small force of Necrons loyal to the Sautekh Dynasty discovered a strange object. Initially uninterested, the Necrons continued their purge, until Nemessor Zhandrekh ordered the object to be retrieved, believing it to be of great importance to a rival Dynasty previously seen in the system. Vargard Obyron could only look on, thinking "Zhandrekh's off again..."

Bran Redmaw. The curs'd Lord. The bloodied hunter.

Bran Redmaw had his land raider enroute to the relics last known location. Before the crew could secure the relic onboard the arch traitors sprung their trap. The sons of Caliban teleported to the surface. Forming a bone coloured wall around the relic, a hooded muttering psychic began reciting litanies of binding and warding whilst squads of terminators levelled a barrage of fire in all directions, cutting the sagas of his wolf guard short.

But they were the redmaws. Killers, hunters all.

Like a shadow, The Lord of the Redmaws saw an out line flitting from spire to spire in the ruined basilica to the left. A hood, dark power armour...was all.suddenly his comm bead roared to life notifying him of reinforcements. From nowhere and everywhere plasma struck out from the darkness to spear the Dark Angels where they stood.

With a hate fuelled howl the wulfen slammed into the battle line of the Dark Angels. Within minutes the scene inside the ruins of the basilica was that of meat merchants gone wrong. Terminators of bone white no longer. The dark Angels were heaped in piles of offal. Armour stained red and blasted black from plasma and bolt shell

Lord Bran stood off centre to a slowly forming ring of wolf guard. Some were sporting injuries, limping, supporting injured pack mates here and there. Others lay still. Within minutes of battles end, the redmaws had assembled around their wolf Lord, securing the relic, the scene of slaughter and ruination of their once brothers.

Quiet and unvoiced, palpable disbelief had settled in the ranks of the Redmaws. All were silent. Eventually a sound of distant engines could be heard. Thunderhawk transporters with pod reclamation harnesses were enroute. Slowly the Lord Redmaw looked up from the scene of slaughter and addressed the assembled wolves. "Take the witch breed, leave the rest and wipe the battle logs". Spitting on the floor and moving towards the land raider.

Orngahl. Leader of the blood shields, redmaws personal guard, raised eyebrows to his approaching Lord. "Letting me in on your corpse thievery plot?" "It may not help our situation"

Dour, and sharp the wolf Lord replied. "Aye, but it will confuse them. They will not understand why, then they will make assumptions. then mistakes..."

Looking back with a sneer the wolf Lord raised his axe to signal the withdrawal to the packs.
